Environmental Engineering Recap (Week 3)
As students learn more about the forces, both natural and artificial, that shape the world, so too do they progress into their own research projects. For this week, students learned about clean water and sanitation, which included information of the various natural cycles of water. They also learned about sustainable agriculture and food supply, which included topics such as agriculture irrigation techniques, hydroponics, and the impact of water pollution.
Students also submitted their research abstracts for the upcoming AGU (American Geophysical Union) conference. With their research methodology determined and datasets identified, they will now proceed with the writing of the main research paper and the visualization of the data that they are using via MATLAB. We look forward to learning from their discoveries!
